GENTLE ON GUMS
With most orthodontic treatments, mildly adverse effects on your patients’ periodontal health is to be expected, as has been confirmed by extensive research on the topic. As a minimum, 0.03 mm gingival recession and 0.13 mm bone loss should generally be expected.
Proper plaque removal during orthodontic therapy is key to avoiding these complications. The Hydrosonic pro removes plaque efficiently, but is gentle on teeth and gingivae, as it was specifically designed with ortho, implant and periodontitis patients in mind.

PLAQUE CONTROL IN THE MOST CRITICAL PLACES
Next time you sit with your patient, carefully check the places that are the most critical to maintain – the distal surface of the last molars, palatal surface of the upper jaw premolars, lingual surface of the lower jaw incisors and the sulcus around implants. More likely than not, there will be a rather substantial plaque accumulation there – plaque that would not accumulate with proper use of the Hydrosonic pro.
THE BRUSH HEAD DIFFERENCES
Each Hydrosonic pro comes with three different brush heads: “Power” for normal brushing, “sensitive” for a more gentle experience, and “single” for targeted cleaning.
The power and sensitive brush heads are exceptional because the filaments have two different lengths that are arranged in a droplet-shape, so they wrap around each tooth and clean even more effectively. And because the brush head is so small, all the areas around the teeth are easy to reach.
The single tuft brush allows for precise tooth-by-tooth cleaning in the areas where the bacterial plaque accumulates – in the gaps between teeth and braces, brackets, arches, wires, bridges and implants, at the sulcus, around malpositioned teeth, and it's also perfect for polishing surfaces of teeth.
